What does EIFS stand for?
EIFS stands for: Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems. A basic EIFS system consists of 4 components:
1. Polystyrene foam insulation board.
2. Glass fiber reinforcing mesh.
3. Weather barrier composed of durable, water-resistant base coat applied to the insulation.
4. Acrylic co-polymer technology, colorfast and crack resistant finish coat.
